It seems that a collaboration between deejay Vybz Kartel and American rapper Nicki Minaj is not out of the question for the near future.

Last Saturday, the rapper, who is known for song such as Your Love and Bedrock, posted on her official social- networking page twitter.com that she wants to work with the controversial deejay. Minaj tweeted, "I need Vybz Kartel for Pink Friday." Pink Friday is the official name of her debut album which is scheduled for release on November 23 on the Young Money-Universal Motown label.

HE'S celebrated and revered for his uplifting musical messages, delivered through songs including Sweep Over My Soul and What We Need Is Love. He was even awarded the Order of Distinction from the Jamaican government in 2007.

An entertainer, who was caught by an angry mob as he allegedly attempted to steal a motorcycle, was soundly beaten and handed over to the New Kingston police yesterday.

He is Michael Benjamin, popularly known as deejay 'Risto Benji', 37-year -old of Spanish Town, St Catherine.

Reports reaching the media are that about 4 p.m., the former top-flight entertainer went to the New Kingston Shopping Centre. He is said to have attempted to steal a Honda Nighthawk motorcycle that was parked there. He was reportedly caught by the alert owner who sounded an alarm.
