Read more...Rise Up Magazine  as just received a disturbing phone called from Canada informing us that the Mavado and his manager Julian was robbed at gunpoint while voicing several dub plates at a studio in Scarborough, Ontario.

According to the source, "yow mi link yuh nuh hear she dem robbed Mavado, all now mi can believe how dat happen fi know she a big heavy man like Mavado wasn't properly secured".

Alliance Launched Bounty Sunday For Fans

Read more...The Alliance crew is keeping close to fans with two weekly street dances: the new Alliance Happy Thursdays and the resurrected Bounty Sundays.

Led by veteran deejay Bounty Killer the Alliance consists of members such as Mavado, Flexxx, Einstein, Bling Dawg, Serani, Chase Cross, Busy Signal, among others. Alliance Happy Thursdays has been held every Thursday, at the No Limits Sports Bar on Hillview Avenue, since November last year. Bounty Sundays is held every Sunday at Limelight, in Half-Way Tree, and was launched last Sunday.

Controversial deejay Bounty Killer has apologised for his 'behaviour' at the Shaggy and Friends charity event which took place on the lawns of Jamaica House on Saturday.

Bounty Killer, real name Rodney Price, raised a few eyebrows and shocked several persons with his onstage tirade which included the use of indecent language.

In the release sent yesterday, Price admitted to getting carried away during his brief appearance.

"I've learnt to choose my battles wisely and the grounds upon which to fight them. I've also learnt when to admit I didn't choose my ground wisely and Saturday night's Shaggy & Friends' show was one of those occasions.
